- Sachem School District officials appointe Kevin Miller as new administrator for counseling. Miller has worked in the district for 18 years and has served in various positions, including assistant principal at Seneca Middle School. "Sachem is home and I sincerely look forward to assisting all students in reaching their full potential and pursuing their passion," Miller said. (Sachem Patch)

- ICYMI: Group of four beats up man, shoots him with BB gun. The group included two teens, who beat up a man with a baseball bat, kicked him, and then shot him with a BB gun at Larry's Landing on Lake Shore Road Wednesday night. All four were charged with first-degree gang assault and first- and second-degree assault. The incident didn't appear to be gang or drug related, according to police. (Sachem Patch)
