A body has been recovered from Lake Ronkonkoma, Suffolk police confirmed Saturday afternoon.
Police had been searching for a kayaker who went missing in the lake last week. Police did not immediately release the identity of the body found on Saturday.

Police have said a kayaker was calling for help in the middle of the lake on the afternoon on Aug. 14 and several good Samaritans attempted to help but they lost sight of him.
Newsday has identified the missing kayaker as 40-year-old Kevin Conley, of Sound Beach.
