Business Spotlight: Picture Perfect Frames

Picture Perfect Frames is a familiar sight to anyone who's lived in Bayport or driven through town in the past 28 years and is a favorite spot when it comes time to put that newly taken family portrait in the right setting.

But as owner Kevin Carey notes, his shop isn't just about frames. The Montauk Highway store offers a wide variety of home decor items as well.

Patch: How did your business come to be?
Had worked in a local frame shop for three years as a teenager and enjoyed the business and dealing with people. Decided to take a chance to open in Bayport and try the craft I learned.

Patch: Why did you choose the community you're in?
I wanted to stay local to the area and happened to see a store for rent.

Patch: What do you offer customers?
We do custom framing of customers prints, children's art work,diplomas,needlework,wedding photos,fine art and more. We also frame signed sports jersey and military medals. Our newest addition to the store is an Epson Giclee printer. We can print from your digital files on paper and canvas. We also do photo shopping of you damaged family photos and can make copies for other family members. We carry pre made photo frames for your photos and a small amount of gifts such as candles, metal art and fragrances.

Patch: What do you want your business to be best known for?
That we give personal customer service and back our workmanship 100 percent. And to the best of our ability get our framing orders done in a timely manner.

Our most popular product and service is our custom framing.
