About the book: In this fun and colorful book, kids will discover what it takes to be a Surgical Technologist. From getting the operating room ready to helping doctors during surgery, every day is full of new and important tasks. With easy-to-understand explanations and bright pictures, children will learn about the amazing work Surgical Technologists do to keep patients safe and healthy.

Joyce Berardi's passion for helping others shines through, making this an inspiring read for young minds. About the author: Joyce Berardi studied at Long Island University and received her National Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting. Her favorite and most memorable place to work was Labor and Delivery.
She lives on Long Island with her husband, Carlo. Joyce has two sons, Andrew and Marc, a daughter-in-law, Laura, a granddaughter, Capri, and enjoys watching true crime shows.

About the book: In this debut bilingual poetry collection, poet Sitlali delves into the life of an Ecuadorian-Chicano (or, Indigenous) navigating boyhood, identity, heartbreak, tinnitus, and an uncertain future quelled only by dreams and prophecies.
"Relatos, Lamentos, y Profecias" paints the life of many a Latino living in the United States' story. From the determined Mexican immigrant, to the heartbroken American-born Ecuadorian teenager, to the sketchbook dwelling half-Salvadoreña, and the revolutionary Puertorriqueña, all folks have a story waiting to be told in verse and prose.
About the author Born to Mexican and Ecuadorian descent, Sitlali is a poet and author who wishes to tell the tales of brown boyhood, immigrants from all over America Latina, and the continued struggle for the ever elusive "American Dream" under growing fascism and late-stage capitalism.
