Class of 1981 Organizes Three-Day Reunion Event
Bayport-Blue Point High School 1981 graduates to host 30-year reunion.
Bayport-Blue Point High School's class of 1981 has big plans for their 30-year reunion, slated to begin July 30 and continue through the weekend.
The three day event begins on July 30 with an "icebreaker" at the Harbor Crab in Patchogue.
Event organizers expect more than 80 people to attend throughout the three days from as far away as California. More than 75 percent of their class has already responded, according to organizer Carol Grube.

Class of '81 members who wish to continue the festivities can attend the second event, scheduled for the following day at Dublin Deck in Patchogue, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. for $80. The group will kick off the month of August, and conclude their grand reunion at Davis Park's Casino Restaurant, with no additional cost after transportation.
As for gaining more attendance, Grube said the organizing group has done a wonderful job contacting their former classmates.Â

"We continue to reach out to classmates by Facebook, emails, local advertising and word of mouth and some local information drops by myself," Grube said. Â
