Eight B-BP Students Place at DECA Regional Competition
Bayport-Blue Point High School students rewarded for Business Marketing exam scores as part of first-year DECA Club.

On Jan. 4, eight high school students from the Bayport-Blue Point School District representing grades nine through twelve participated in the DECA Regional Competition at Suffolk Community College.
The event supports the DECA mission to “prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools around the globe.”
This is the first year in which students of the Bayport-Blue Point High School took part in the DECA Club under the advisement of business teacher Doug Monsell. The District is proud to announce that all eight students placed and received plaques for their efforts. The students have expressed interest in attending the state competition in March.
