Sayville Music Idol Semi-Finals

POSTPONED DUE TO SNOW

Are the students in Sayville talented? You bet they are! Sayville Music Idol is a local spin on American Idol. The Semifinal Performance will feature a jamming group of Sayville's top 40 student performers from grades 5-8 and will be held on Thursday January 13th. Twenty will go on to compete in the Sayville Music Idol Finals on March 10th.

Sayville Music Idol is sponsored by the Sayville Music Boosters for the Arts (SMBA) as a scholarship fundraiser for talented students in the Sayville district.  Last year, SMBA distributed over $16,000 in scholarships to Sayville district students with special talent in art, music, drama, dance and writing. The local Idol concept is the brainchild of Music Idol Entertainment and is a full professional production with lights, camera, action, and of course, independent judges. Sponsors include SSLI Recording Studios, WBLI, Five Towns College, IDJ Now, Cactus Salon, Atlantis Marine World and Selden Batting.
