Family History Roundtable: Using DNA in Genealogical Research

The library will hold a special presentation o Wednesday, June 8 from 6:30-8:00pm. Steve Perkins, a law librarian and former law professor has been conducting genealogical research for 40 years.  He will discuss the types of DNA commonly tested; the differences between forensic and genetic genealogy DNA testing; the main testing companies; and how testing can be of use to adoptees, as those with well developed pedigrees.  The library is located at 760 Ocean Avenue, Bohemia.  For further information please contact the library at 631-567-5079 or visit our website at www.connetquotlibrary.org.
