Visions for Vacancies: Reader Feedback on Lealand Eve

The last installment of Sayville-Bayport Patch’s  asked readers to share their thoughts on what they would like to see fill the current vacancy at , 52 South Main St., Sayville.

Several readers offered feedback in the story’s comment section. Two readers suggested a book store, since the closing of Sayville's Runaway Bay Books and Borders.

 said "A bookstore would be wonderful. Since Runaway Books closed, then Borders, we have no place to browse for books, get magazines - especially specialty magazines and other related items."

 suggested an "Internet cafe that sells gourmet coffee, has an "old fashion" book trade (take a book / leave a book), open mic night, etc."

Other feedback included: 

 - "There are so many young musicians in Sayville. A vintage music store would be fun. Vinyl records and vintage music paraphernaila. We already have so many spas and restaurants. A book store is a great idea too."

 - "A shoe or clothing store that sells moderately prices casual items."

 - "A family deli such as that of the old Pauls Deli that was one of the original Sayville businesses back in the 60s and 70s."
