• Scarsdale Varsity Football Team Opens Season 2-1 After Loss to Mamaroneck (scarsdale10583.com) — Scarsdale High's Raiders have opened their 2026 football season 2–1, with explosive performances from quarterback Patrick Simon and halfback Shane Kelly powering two big home wins at Butler Field. The team's senior class finally beat John Jay, while cheerleaders and a student pep band helped energize the home crowd. Coach Andy Verboys praised both star backs and strong line play across the 42-player roster.
