Hudson Valley's Best Public High Schools 2018
In all, 28 schools from the Hudson Valley made Niche.com's 100 best public high schools in New York list for 2018.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — New York is known to have tons of great schools, providing quality education to the Empire State's youth. The Hudson Valley is no exception, and offers some of the best schools in the state.
Patch got school rankings from Niche.com's 2018 Best Schools in New York list. The rankings are based on criteria such as academics and outcomes, and these are all schools whose graduates routinely go on to the best colleges.
Two Hudson Valley high schools made the top 10 while 28 made the top 100 in these new rankings.

Stuyvesant High School was selected best public high school in New York, but the Hudson Valley's top school, Scarsdale Senior High School, was close behind at No. 7, followed by Rye High School at No. 8.

- Bronx High School of Science (13th in America)
- Great Neck South High School (28th in America)

- Jericho Senior High School (45th in America)
- Scarsdale Senior High School (60th in America)
- Rye High School (74th in America)
- High School Math, Science & Engineering at the City College of New York (95th in America)
- Pittsford-Mendon High School (106th in America)
Niche, a website for researching schools, used a variety of factors, including SAT/ACT scores, student-teacher ratio, the quality of colleges students consider and reviews from students and parents for its ranking.
