Dispatch Log From Jan. 21 to Jan. 25, 2010
Thursday
10:23 a.m. – A vehicle was parked illegally outside the Scarsdale train station at 1 Depot Pl. for two days. A call was made to the vehicle owner.

12:03 p.m. – A caller reported of a loose dog in the area. The dog was found and taken to headquarters, where the owner received a village code summons.
3:21 p.m. – The resident at 138 Fox Meadow Rd. reported unauthorized vehicles were being parked on private property. Reportedly, empty beer bottles and other debris were left behind on the private property where the unauthorized vehicle was parked. The owner of the vehicle was advised and moved his vehicle without incident, agreeing not to park there in the future.

4:19 p.m.– Patrol responded to a dispute between homeowner and employee for unpaid wages at 41 Park Rd. The dispute was settled without incident, in which the employee was paid.
6:26 p.m.– Burglar alarm falsely set off at 209 Mamaroneck Rd. Homeowner was on scene and stated the housekeeper most likely set it off when she had left 15 minutes earlier.
Friday
8:09 a.m. – A caller reported a female asleep for an extended period of time with engine running in a green station wagon parked on East Parkway. Patrol checked the area and found nobody sleeping in a green station wagon.
11:37 a.m. – There was a damage to an unoccupied vehicle during a hit and run off of 75 Weaver St. There were no injuries.
12:08 p.m. – The burglar alarm was falsely set off at 5 Reimer Rd. by a construction worker at the scene.
12:22 p.m. – A traffic complaint was made about a repair truck driving the wrong way on a one-way street. The vehicle left the scene before the arrival of the patrol.
12:44 p.m. – Police responded to a 911 hang up at 23 Butler Rd. According to the homeowner was most likely dialed in error.
2:09 p.m. – A noise complaint was made about a barking dog from 22 Ridgefield Rd. Officers found the complaint unfounded, as the dog was barely audible from street level.
2:21 p.m. – Police responded to a tip about a fistfight in process on the Brewster Rd. side of Scarsdale High School. Upon arrival a small group of youths began to disperse. Several of the youths were interviewed and they all stated that they did not see anything. After sweeping the area the patrol was unable to find any injured parties. Fred Goldberg, a principal, confirmed the findings of the patrol after speaking with several students himself.
2:38 p.m. – A caller at 55 Walworth Ave. reported an illegally parked car. Patrol found the car was not parked illegally.
3:38 p.m. – A caller reported a vehicle parked over the 3-hour limit at 21 Highland Way. The reported vehicle was gone upon the arrival of the patrol.
4:40 p.m. – A caller at 7 Saxon Woods Rd. phoned in suspicious activity about a vehicle that had been driving slowly through the parking lot for an extended period of time.
The driver, described as a black male, reportedly had exited the vehicle to urinate in the parking lot as well. Upon the patrol's arrival the driver stated that he was waiting to meet someone and left the area in good order.
4:42 p.m.– The burglar alarm was falsely set off at 39 Cohawney Rd. Upon arriving to the scene the homeowner stated that he must have left the doors open.
4:47 p.m.– A caller phoned in about a possible driveway service scam by a company called Paving Plus. The caller stated that the $600 in work was not done to her satisfaction and the phone number for the company was no longer in service. Although, this is a civil matter, the caller wanted this documented on the record.
6:49 p.m. – The burglar alarm was set off at 66 Carthage Rd.
8:44 p.m.– The burglar alarm was again set off at 66 Carthage Rd.
9:16 p.m.– A caller phoned in about a fallen street sign near the intersection of Brewster Rd. and Chesterfield. Patrol responded and put the sign back up, with a note to have the pole better secured in the ground.
9:47 p.m.– A caller at 16 Sherbrooke Rd, stated that there was someone who was ringing his doorbell and then disappearing. Patrol checked the perimeter and found everything in good order. Upon speaking with a neighbor it was determined that a friend of his son's had rung the doorbell and ran. The boy was spoken to by his father.
11:35 p.m. – The burglar alarm was set off at 68 Brookby Rd.
Saturday
12:49 a.m. - The burglar alarm was set off at 6 Carstensen Rd. The homeowner requested an exterior check of her residence by the patrol, who found all was secure.
9:02 a.m. – 911 was dialed in error by resident at 25 Wildwood Rd.
9:10 a.m. – A caller reported protesters at 46 Fox Meadow Rd. outside of Shaarei Tikvah Scarsdale Conservative Congregation. Upon arriving the patrol found the reported group to have already left the scene without incident.
11:04 a.m. - The burglar alarm was set off at 28 Paddington Rd. by the real estate agent who was unaware of the code.
12:44 p.m.- The burglar alarm was falsely set off at Scarsdale High School at the A/V entry door. Patrol found the door unlocked and the A/V department to be empty.
2:33 p.m. – A caller reported that a white SUV was parked illegally near Hanover and Wheelock Rds. The vehicle turned out to, indeed, be parked there legally.
4:03 p.m.– A reported case of larceny at LF Stores, 5 Boniface Circle involving a white female. (More to come.)
4:32 p.m. - The burglar alarm was set off at 1 Elmdorf Dr.
4:52 p.m. - The burglar alarm was set off at 184 MadisonRd.
5:35 p.m. – Resident of 10 Franklin Rd. reports that she may victim of ID theft.
5:45 p.m. – Resident at 17 Chesterfield made an animal complaint about a sick raccoon on his back patio. Patrol provided the homeowner with the appropriate numbers for this type of Animal control.
5:51 p.m. - The burglar alarm was set off at 54 Old Orchard Ln.
5:55 p.m. - The burglar alarm was set off at 1001 Post Rd., Village Hall.
6:29 p.m. – There was a report of a vehicle parked dangerously on Saxon Woods Rd. near Mamaroneck Rd. Upon responding to the scene, patrol found that the vehicle was disabled and that the driver was trying to arrange for a tow truck.
8:14 p.m. – Residents of 102 Brookby Rd. reported very loud music in the area, possibly from the Fenway Golf Club. Patrol spoke with club manager and agreed to keep the music at an acceptable noise level.
9:28 p.m. – Residents of 12 Mohican Trail reported loud music in the area, possibly from the Fenway Gold Club. The club manager had the music lowered immediately.
11:45 p.m. – Residents of 204 Secor Rd. reported loud music in the area, possibly from the Fenway Gold Club. Patrol spoke to all the parties involved and the music was shut off and the party ended. There were no further incidents, as all were quiet on their departure.
Sunday
12:27 a.m. – Caller at 25 Cambridge Rd. stated youths traveling in up to 5 cars were in the area making noise and possibly drinking. Patrol canvassed the area and found no signs for any disorderly conduct in the vicinity.
9:05 a.m.– Patrol responded to an incident in which a customer at Lulu Cake Boutique 40 Garth Rd. was asked to leave the store for being very loud. The customer did not require any police or medical assistance and left the store without further incident.
10:49 a.m.– A caller at 152 Brite Ave. reported a wire down in the roadway. Upon arrival patrol found there to be a phone wire down in the street and removed the wire from the roadway. Dispatch was to notify Verizon.
1:11 p.m. - The burglar alarm was set off at 62 Carthage Rd.
2:21 p.m. - The burglar alarm was set off at 18 Fox Meadow Rd. by the housekeeper in error.
6:40 p.m.- The burglar alarm was falsely set off at 40 Park Rd.
7:21 p.m. - The burglar alarm was falsely set off at 34 Crane Rd. due to a malfunction.
10:36 p.m. – Caller reported a white vehicle parked illegally outside of 7 Axtell Dr. Patrol responded and found the vehicle and the owner had legitimate business in the area and no enforcement action was needed.
10:55 p.m. - The burglar alarm was set off at 17 Ramsey Rd.
Monday
12:37 a.m.- The burglar alarm was set off at 140 Fox Meadow Rd. due to an apparent false activation.
2:49 a.m. - The burglar alarm was set off at 1055 Post Rd. due to an apparent false activation.
4:27 a.m.– A caller at 35 Sage Terrace reported a hammering sound coming from the side of her home and requested an exterior check of the house. Patrol found no signs of tampering and attributed the hammering noises to gusty weather.
Several minutes after patrol left the residence the homeowner requested an interior check of the residence. Patrol turned up negative results for an intrusion and advised the homeowner that they could have an animal in their attic.
7:06 a.m. – Greenburgh Police Department reported that a tractor-trailer was stuck at the corner of 1 Popham Road and 1 Depot Plaza (the train station). Patrol arrived and found an 18-wheeler stuck on the median.
Patrol assisted with traffic control until the situation was resolved by the Greenburgh Police Department, whom had arrived on the scene.
