Leaf Blower Thief On The Loose: Cops

SHIRLEY, NY — There's a leaf blower thief on the loose, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Precinct Crime Section officers are asking for the public’s help to identify and find the man they say stole a leaf blower from a trailer parked in a driveway on Commack Road in Shirley on Aug. 19; the man fled in a gray or silver sedan, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about the incident can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, texting “SCPD” and a message to “CRIMES” (274637) or by emailing www.tipsubmit.com. All calls, text messages and emails will be kept confidential.
