UPDATE: Police Release Details on Nesconset Bank Robbery
Police investigating robbery Thursday morning.

NESCONSET, NY- A man robbed a bank in Nesconset Thursday morning.
According to police, a man entered Teachers Federal Credit Union, located at 127 Smithtown Boulevard, handed a teller a note that demanded cash and indicated violence if the teller did not comply.
The teller gave the man cash and the man fled on foot in an unknown direction, police said.

The robber is described as white and about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10. He was wearing jeans, a gray coat and a red winter hat. His face was covered with an unknown item of clothing, police said.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
