Dogwood Kindergartners Reenact the First Thanksgiving
Kindergartners celebrate thanksgiving in style.
Kindergartners at Dogwood Elementary School in Smithtown celebrated Thanksgiving in style, with a traditional Thanksgiving feast of turkey, stuffing, potatoes and all of the trimmings.
The children also dressed up as Pilgrims and Native Americans and performed songs about Thanksgiving in the school’s cafeteria. Parents were invited to partake, as they contributed all of the food. The event was a culmination of the kindergartners’ studies on the first Thanksgiving.
