Police Ask for Help to Track Down Miller Place Tool Thief

The man may have broken into several vehicles on Parkside Avenue last week, police say.

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating the person pictured above who they say stole tools in Miller Place last week.

On Monday, Aug. 18, at approximately 2 a.m., the man stole assorted tools from three different vehicles parked in the driveway of a home, located at 101 Parkside Avenue, police said. The man may be responsible for other vehicle break-ins that occurred that night, also on Parkside Avenue, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male, with dark hair, in his mid to late 20s. He was wearing a baseball cap, hooded sweatshirt, jacket and backpack.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
