Nom Wah Dim Sum Restaurant to Open Second Location in Nolita

Nom Wah Tea Parlor has been open in Chinatown for over 100 years, but Nom Wah Nolita will hit Kenmare Street soon.

NOLITA, NY — Well-known dim sum master Nom Wah Tea Parlor announced over the weekend that they're opening a second New York location in Nolita, according to Eater.

Nom Wah Tea Parlor at 13 Doyers St. has been open for more than 100 years in Chinatown, and now the delicious dim sum will head north to Nolita at 10 Kenmare St.

Nom Wah Nolita will be a more casual, lunch-focused version of its successor. Visitors will order at the counter and pick up their food when it's done, Eater reports.

Dim sum is a style of Chinese fare prepared as small, bite-sized portions served in steamer baskets or on small plates. A dim sum meal usually includes steamed buns, dumplings and rice noodle rolls containing beef, chicken, prawns, pork and vegetarian options inside of them.

A spokeswoman told Eater it will be "great for those who work in Soho and don't have time for a full-service, sit-down meal."
