1,627 Without Power in Southampton

PSEG crews are out working to restore service to customers without power on Friday.

As Mother Nature sends another blast of winter to the South Fork, 1,627 customers were without power in Southampton on Friday morning, according to PSEG.

Crews are out working to address the problems, with power expected to be restored by 3:30 p.m., according to PSEG.

“The outages are all weather related. The wind, heavy wet snow can cause outages. We have a full work force working throughout the day to restore outages. The weather conditions make it difficult for travel and restoration. We appreciate our customers’ patience. Our goal, always, is to restore power safely and as quickly as possible. Our crews will be there as soon as they can,’” Elizabeth Flagler, media relations specialist for PSEG Long Island, said.
