2 Men Hospitalized, 1 Arrested After Brawl in Flanders Nightclub: Police
BREAKING: Six drunk men got into a verbal dispute that escalated into a physical altercation, police said.

FLANDERS, NY — Two men were hospitalized and one man was arrested after a brawl broke out at a Flanders eatery, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, the incident took place on October 15 at 11:40 p.m., when a report came in about an active fight involving multiple participants at Ranchero Latino, located at 730 Flanders Road in Flanders.
Responding officers arrived after the fight had ended and found multiple injured individuals, police said.
Six intoxicated men got into a verbal dispute which escalated into a physical altercation, police said.

During the fight, Sergio R. Mendoza-Baquiax, 23, of Riverhead, struck a man on the head and face with a glass bottle, causing the victim to sustain pain, swelling, and a laceration to his face, which required emergency medical treatment at Peconic Bay Medical Center, police said.
Mendoza-Baquiax was arrested at the scene and found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine, police said.

He was transported to Southampton Town Police headquarters where he was charged with one count of second degree assault, a felony, one count of fourth degree criminal possession of weapon, a misdemeanor, and one count of seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; he was processed and held for arraignment, police said.
Police did not release the identity of the others involved; all injuries are believed to be non life-threatening, authorities said.
