Absentee Ballots Counted For Southampton Town Trustee Race, Shultz Still Ahead

The ballots were added to the unofficial count on Monday.

Democratic incumbent Eric Shultz has unofficially won the fifth seat in the Southampton Town Trustees race after the absentee ballots have been counted on Monday, according to a report in 27east.

Shultz beat out Republican candidate Raymond B. Overton, who received 4,791 votes in the race earlier this month, by a total of 131 votes, according to the report.

Shultz earned a total of 4,847 votes in the race on Nov. 3.

Other winners for trustee included: Bill Pell (D), Scott Horowitz (R), Edward Warner Jr. (R), and Bruce Stafford (R).
