Board Continues to Plan Work Sessions All Over Southampton Town
Next stop? Flanders, with a work session slated for the Flanders Fire Department on August 11.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — The board continues to hit the road with a series of work sessions planned for communities across Southampton Town.
The Southampton Town Board will hold a work session at the Flanders Fire Department, located at 19 Firehouse Lane, on Thursday, August 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The public is invited to attend.

The work session marks the second time this summer that the board has taken a work session into the community.
Earlier in July a work session was held in Hampton Bays, where more than 24 residents turned out.

Unlike a traditional work session, the board holds a public comment portion at the end of the session. Anyone who wishes to speak can go before the board to voice their opinions.
“By holding a work session in different regions in our town, we bring government closer to the people,” said Southampton Town Supervisor Jay Schneiderman. “We hope to hold a few more work sessions in other parts of the town in the future.”
