Drunk Driver Crashes Near Flanders Sign Warning Against Driving Under Influence: Cops
BREAKING: Susan Tocci, who erected the sign in memory of family members she's lost due to crashes, was outraged Thursday.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Susan Tocci couldn't believe what she was seeing Thursday, when an alleged drunk driver crashed near her home, just feet from a sign she's installed, warning motorists not to drive under the influence.
According to Southampton Town Police, Nancy Johnson, 62, of Hampton Bays, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. after crashing her vehicle into a tree on Flanders Road; she was also charged with refusal to take a pre-screen breathalyzer test, police said.
Tocci had the sign installed after a series of tragedies shook her family's world: First, her sister Barbara Tocci was killed in a head-on crash on Flanders Road in 2014; shortly after, Barbara Tocci's son's fiance, Hayley Riggins, who was on her motorcycle, was killed after an accident involving a driver allegedly driving under the influence of drugs, according to police reports. She left behind her baby girl, Kadence.

Since then, Tocci has crusaded against texting while driving and driving under the influence, and the signs on her property serve as reminders of all her family has lost.
After the crash, she said, "I'm speechless."
