Drunk Driver Slapped With Felony Charge: Police

The man was pulled over for failing to maintain his lane, police said.

FLANDERS, NY — A Flanders man was slapped with a felony charge after he was caught driving while intoxicated Sunday, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, Arlin J. Castro, 22, was arrested on Sunday at 2:09 a.m. on Flanders Road after he was seen failing to maintain his lane.

He was pulled over, found to be intoxicated, arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, first degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a felony and unlicensed operation, a violation, police said.

Castro was taken to the Southampton Town police headquarters for arrest processing and held for arraignment, police said.
