Drunk East Quogue Woman Drives Car On Railroad Tracks, Gets Stuck: Police

An East Quogue woman drove her car drunk along the railroad tracks in Hampton Bays and got stuck, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, Gerry Andreassen, 60, was arrested Friday at 11:53 p.m. on Springville Road by the train tracks in Hampton Bays and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

Andreassen turned west onto the railroad tracks from Ponquogue Avene and continued down the tracks until her vehicle became stuck; an investigation revealed she was operating her vehicle in an intoxicated condition, police said.

She was transported to police headquarters for processing and held for morning arraignment, police said.
