SOUTHAMPTON, NY: Firefighters rushed to the scene of a working structure fire on North Captains Neck Lane in Southampton Village Thursday night, according to Southampton Village Police.
The fire also led to a car accident, Southampton Village Mayor Mark Epley said. One of the chiefs responding to the fire had their vehicle hit by a car at Nugent Street and West Main Street, he said. The chief was unhurt, Epley added.
The fire broke out after 6 p.m., officials said.

According to Epley, the fire was at 102 North Captains Neck Lane.
The private residence was just sold in June, for $2.4 million, according to Zillow.com.

The Southampton Fire Department responded to the fire, with Hampton Bays, North Sea, and Bridgehampton Fire Departments providing mutual aid, according to a scanner report.
