Kitten Dies After Being Thrown By Man From Moving Vehicle: Cops
Heartbreaking: The kitten did not survive being thrown out of the moving vehicle, police say.

FLANDERS, NY — A kitten died after it was thrown out of a moving vehicle by a man on Thursday, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, officers received at 8 a.m. about a vehicle driving east on Flanders Road near Spinney Road in Flanders. The caller reported that the driver of the vehicle threw a kitten from the moving vehicle, police said.
The vehicle was located a short time later by patrol officers; Southampton Town Police Department detectives responded to the scene and transported Hector Herrera Castillo, 43, to police headquarters, police said.

The kitten died, police said.
Detectives subsequently arrested Herrera Castillo, and charged him with aggravated cruelty to animals, a felony, police said.

Herrera Castillo was processed at Southampton Town Police headquarters and held overnight for morning arraignment.
