Man Busted for Drunk Driving On Highway: Police
He was caught speeding and changing lanes unsafely, police said.
SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A Water Mill man was caught driving drunk on Sunrise Highway, police said.
New York State Police said Luis F. Romero-Alvarado, 25, was arrested on Nov. 14 and charged with driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop for speeding and moving from lane unsafely as he was heading eastbound on Sunrise Hwy, east of Exit 65, in Southampton Town, police said.
Investigation and standardized tests revealed that Romero-Alvarado was intoxicated; he was released and is due to appear at Southampton Justice Court on Nov. 28, police said.
