Man Caught With Quantity of Cocaine After Traffic Stop: Police

BREAKING: The driver was arrested in Riverside, police said.

RIVERSIDE, NY — A Flanders man was arrested after a traffic stop in Riverside when he was caught with cocaine, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, Edin Perez-Cabrera, 31, was arrested Saturday at 12:01 p.m. and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.

Perez-Cabrera was stopped on Flanders Road near Old Quogue Road in Riverside when he was found to have an active bench warrant for failure to appear and was also found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine, police said.

He was arrested and held for arraignment, police said.
