Man Charged With Raping Girls, 6 and 7: Police
BREAKING: The man is charged with two first degree rape charges, felonies, police said.
A Flanders man has been charged with raping two young girls, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, after a 10-week long investigation into sexual assault allegations involving two female victims, ages 6 and 7, Southampton Town Police detectives arrested Shawn D. Reid, of Anchor Street in Flanders, on Thursday.
Reid was charged with two counts of first degree rape, a felony, and was scheduled for arraignment in Southampton Town Justice Court Friday morning, police said.

Detectives were assisted in their investigation by Suffolk County Child Protective Services and the Southampton Town Police Community Response Unit, police said.
The investigation is ongoing and Southampton Town Police detectives request anyone with information to
