Man Facing Felony Charge After Driving Drunk: Police

The man had an open container of alcohol in his car, police said.

RIVERSIDE, NY — A Riverside man was nabbed early Monday for driving drunk, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, Dimitri Baley-Canel, 36, was arrested at 12:07 a.m. on Flanders Road in Riverside after he was seen failing to maintain his lane.

He was stopped and found to be intoxicated; charged with driving while intoxicated, a felony, failure to maintain lane, unlicensed operation, and operating with an open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle, all violations, police said.

He was transported to Southampton Town Police headquarters, processed, and held for arraignment, police said.
