Man Stopped For Speeding Had Fentanyl, Cocaine, Scales: Police
The Brooklyn man, stopped in Northampton, was also found with scales and plastic baggies used for packaging drugs, police say.
NORTHAMPTON, NY — A Brooklyn man was arrested in Northampton Saturday and found with crack cocaine and pills, including several that tested positive for fentanyl, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, at 2:23 p.m., a patrol officer conducting enforcement stopped a driver for speeding. Quantay Davis, 45, was found to be driving with a suspended registration and his vehicle was impounded, police said.
During an inventory search of the vehicle, officers found crack cocaine, Clonazepam pills, and several unmarked pills that tested positive for fentanyl, police said. In addition, scales and clear plastic baggies commonly used for packaging narcotics were located inside the vehicle, police said.

Davis was arrested and charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; criminally using drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, driving with a suspended registration, a misdemeanor; and speeding, police said.
Davis was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed and held for arraignment, police said.
