'Minor' Gas Leak on Sag Harbor's Main Street During Fire Cleanup Efforts

BREAKING: All was under control within a half hour Monday morning, according to the Sag Harbor Fire Department.

SAG HARBOR, NY — A "minor" gas leak reported on Main Street in Sag Harbor was cleared up with no issues, the Sag Harbor Fire Department said Monday.

The gas leak was initially reported on Main Street, where cleanup work after Friday's devastating fire is commencing.

According to fire officials, workmen were looking to shut off the gas going to the Brown Harris Stevens building, but there was a problem with the shut off valve; the gas company was on the scene the entire time and the issue was cleared up quickly, the Sag Harbor Fire Department said.

Traffic was flowing normally on Main Street by 10:45, officials said.
