The event featured a gospel performance and a visit from some birds of prey, as well as cookies and hot cider.

BRIDGEHAMPTON, NY — It wasn't just three days of holiday shopping at Marders' 40th Annual Open House on Friday, Saturday and Sunday on Snake Hollow Road in Bridgehampton.

The event also provided an opportunity to take a look what Marders offers, including an array of one-of-a-kind items.

The Genesis Gospel Ensemble performed, Nick Marzano, of The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center in Hampton Bays, explained the world of birds of prey, and brought some to "show and tell".

The welcoming atmosphere created by the Marder family and the rest of the staff was complemented by the delicious homemade cookies and hot cider.
