Police on Lookout for Man Who Used An Ax To Break Windows in Bridghampton Home: Police

The man was caught on surveillance camera, police said.

BRIDGEHAMPTON, NY - Police are on the lookout for a man who broke windows in a Bridgehampton home, authorities said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who broke windows in a residence in Bridgehampton, police said.

An unknown man carrying a shingle ax was captured on home surveillance video system as he walked around on the property of a residence located on Paul’s Lane in Bridgehampton on June 6 at approximately 9:35 p.m., police said.

Damage to several windows on the home was discovered later that day, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
