Police: Man Busted For DWI at Southampton Sobriety Checkpoint

An East Hampton man was arrested on a DWI charge at a sobriety checkpoint in Southampton this Halloween weekend, according to State Police.

Damacio U. Reyes, 37, was arrested for driving while intoxicated at the checkpoint on Sunrise Highway at the eastbound rest area on Sunday at 1:40 a.m., police said.

Reyes refused to submit to a breath test and was held overnight to be arraigned in the Southampton Town Court, police said.
