Police: Man Throws Egg at Cop Car, Tries to Escape Cops

The officer stopped the man using his taser, police say.

A Southampton man was arrested for throwing an egg at a cop car and resisting arrest on Sunday night, according to State Police.

The 28-year-old man threw an egg at a marked patrol car on Montauk Highway by the Shinnecock Smoke Shop at about 8:19 p.m., police said.

He attempted to run away from police but the officer deployed his taser to stop him, according to police.

He was place into custody and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, police said.

Kellis was held overnight to be arraigned in the Southampton Court.
