Riverhead Man Busted for Forcibly Robbing a Cell Phone Outside Flanders 7-Eleven: Police

The man forcibly stole a cell phone, police said.

A Riverhead man was busted Tuesday for allegedly robbing a cell phone outside the Flanders 7-Eleven, police said.

Southampton Town Police Department arrested Michael Anderson, 22, on Tuesday and charged him with robbery in the second degree, a felony, for his part in a robbery that occurred on January 30, 2016 outside of the 7-Eleven store on Flanders Road, police said.

Anderson and another individual forcibly stole a cell phone from a male victim walking near the store, police said.

Additional arrests related to the incident are imminent as the investigation continues, police said.
