Sag Harbor Drunk Driver Charged: Police

The motorist was stopped after driving over numerous hazard markings, police said.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A Sag Harbor motorist was charged with drunk driving early Monday, police said.

According to New York State Police, Jaime R. Japa, 35, was stopped for driving over numerous hazard markings.

Investigation and standardized field sobriety tests revealed Japa to be intoxicated, police said.

Japa was placed under arrest, charged with driving while intoxicated, and is due back at Southampton town Justice Court on March 29, police said.
