Search On For Man Who Tried To Burglarize Hair Salon: Police

RIVERSIDE, NY — The search is on for a man who burglarized a hair salon in Riverside in early February, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and detectives from the Southampton Town Police Department are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man, who forced his way into M&M Unisex Hair Salon, located at 151A Flanders Road, on February 7 at approximately 12:40 a.m., police said.

The man approached a cash register but fled when the alarm activated; investigators believe the man fled on foot southbound on Old Quogue Road, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
