Shinnecock Nation Hosts Mid-Winter Social

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — The Shinnecock Nation is set to host their annual Mid-Winter Social, an event that will feature feasting, dancing, singing, prayers, honorings, dance specials, vendors, raffles and fun for all.

The event is slated to take place on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at the Shinnecock Community on the Shinnecock Reservation.

Dinner is a potluck; bring a dish to share. A grand entrance will take place at 7:30 p.m., and the evening will include Host Drum and the Young Blood Singers; a blanket dance will be held to collect gas money for the singers.
