Southampton Town Partners with PTA for Speed Zone Display Units
The units are meant to remind motorists that schools are open and drivers should proceed with care.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Southampton Town and the Hampton Bays School District will team up Friday to introduce two newly installed speed zone display units, according to a release from Southampton Town Supervisor Jay Schneiderman's office.
A press event will be held on Friday at Hampton Bays Elementary School on Ponquogue Avenue to unveil the units, which are meant to tell drivers that they are in a school zone and should proceed with care.
Southampton Town is partnering with the PTA on the project as part of the overall “School's Open” safety campaign.
