Southampton Youth Host Blood Drive to Meet Hospitals' 'Desperate Need'

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — With an escalating shortage of available blood, hospitals are in "desperate need," according to the New York Blood Center.

And local Southampton kids want to help: The Southampton Youth Bureau, in partnership with Southampton Youth Services, and the New York Blood Center will host a blood drive Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at SYS, located at 1370a Majors Path in Southampton.

In addition to saving a life, anyone who donates will receive a free raffle entry for a gift card to a local business. Prizes include a $100 gift card to Riverhead Building Supply; a $50 gift card to Villa Paul; Landscape Canvas from Tom Rickard Photograph; a $25 gift card to La Parmigiana, and many more.
