In an effort to discourage underage drinking, Pierson Middle-High School students joined with the Community Coalition Effort to encourage local shopkeepers to require customers to present two forms of identification to purchase alcohol by visiting them on Sunday, Nov. 23.
Storeowners, who agreed to support the initiative, called “Stick It,” were given signs to hang in their windows and received a device that will help them to spot fake identifications. Group members also provided instruction on how to use the device.
