Town Board Takes Work Session on the Road
The Southampton town board will meet in Hampton Bays instead of Town Hall on Thursday.

HAMPTON BAYS, NY - They're taking it on the road.
The Southampton town board will travel to Hampton Bays on Thursday, July 14, to hold a formal work session at the Hampton Bays Fire Department sub-station at 106 Ponquogue Avenue, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The work session is the first of several planned to be held outside of Town Hall and will include a number of topics specific to Hampton Bays.

Topics include an update on the planning of the opening weekend for Good Ground Park, tentatively scheduled for October 14, 15 and 16 and a planning analysis of the Hampton Bays Business District.
“By holding a work session in different regions in our town, we bring government closer to the people,” said Southampton Town Supervisor Jay Schneiderman. “We hope to hold a few more work sessions in other parts of the town in the future.”

Those planning to attend the work session at the Hampton Bays Fire Department sub-station are being advised to park their vehicles on the west and south sides of the parking lot to allow first responders to park on the north and east sides during emergencies.
