Two Arrested For DWI on New Year's Eve: Police
Police conducted a task force during the holiday within the Town of Southampton.

Two people were arrested during the East End DWI Task Force within the Town of Southampton over the holiday.
The Southampton Town Police hosted one segment of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office task force between 8 p.m. on Thursday December 31, 2015 and 4 a.m. on Friday January 1, 2016, (New Years Eve).
A total of 36 motorists were stopped and screened for impaired driving resulting in two DWI arrests.

William J Magner, 65 of East Quogue, was stopped after he was seen crossing the center lines of Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays while westbound entering the eastbound lane, according to police.
He submitted to standardized roadside sobriety tests and was found to be intoxicated, police said.

He was arrested and transported to Southampton Town Police headquarters where he was processed and held for arraignment, according to police.
Carlos E Pulla Solano, 21 of Hampton Bays, was seen speeding and failing to maintain his car within the marked lane of travel while westbound on Montauk Highway in the business district of Hampton Bays, according to police.
He was stopped and he submitted to standardized roadside sobriety tests and was found to be intoxicated, according to police.
He was arrested and transported to Southampton Town Police headquarters where he was processed and held for arraignment, police said.
In addition, police reported that during the task force, there was one minor car crash was reported within the Town of Southampton.
