Unlicensed Driver Nabbed After Crash: Police

One minor injury was reported, police said.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — An East Hampton woman was arrested after a crash in Southampton resulted in an injury, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, on Tuesday, January 3, at 8:30 a.m., Southampton Town Police responded to a crash at the intersection of County Road 39 and Sandy Hollow Road.

Upon investigation, if was found that one of the vehicle operators, Rosario Cruz-Estrada, 35, of East Hampton, was found to be unlicensed and operating with a suspended license status, police said.

She was arrested and charged with third degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, police said.

She was released on an appearance ticket with a future court date.
