Woman Charged After Medicaid Fraud Investigation: Police

BREAKING: The woman was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A Center Moriches woman was arrested recently after an investigation by the New York State Attorney General's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, on March 8 at 9:30 a.m., police assisted members of the unit with the arrest of Michelle Arvillli, 39.

Arvilli was charged with falsifying business records, a felony, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and petty larceny, a misdemeanor, police said.
