Woman Crashes Car, Charged With DWI: Police

NORTHAMPTON, NY — An Eastport woman was nabbed driving drunk in Northampton Wednesday, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, Samantha D. Albin, 24, of Eastport, was arrested on County Road 51 at 2:24 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and third degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.

Albin was involved in a single car crash with no injuries; an investigation revealed she was operating her vehicle in an intoxicated condition and that her driver's license was suspended, police said.

She was arrested at the scene, transported to police headquarters for processing, and held for morning arraignment, police said.
