3 Sent To Hospital After I-84 Crash

A car failed to "move over," causing the crash that also injured two troopers.

KENT, NY — The state police provided more details about the multi-vehicle crash that occurred on I-84 in the Town of Kent Tuesday, Dec. 18. Around 5:44 p.m., troopers were conducting a vehicle and traffic stop on I-84 of a 2005 Nissan sedan for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law.

As troopers were getting out of their patrol car, with all emergency lights activated, a 2006 Mercedes-Benz C280 side swiped the front of the patrol vehicle and then collided with Nissan.

The crash took place just east of Exit 17 onto Ludingtonville Road.
