Arrested Again On I-84
This time, fake drivers licenses. Last time, suspicious credit cards.

SOUTHEAST, NY — A Bronx man arrested on I-84 in November was arrested again on I-84 after a traffic stop and a foot chase Tuesday.
Earl J. Allen faces three counts of Possession of a Forged Instrument, class D felonies, Tampering with Evidence, a class E felony, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction of Governmental Administration, both class A misdemeanors, Operating a Motor Vehicle while Impaired by Drugs, an unclassified misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation.
In November, when New York state police stopped Allen, 26, he was driving a Dodge Caravan reported stolen in Illinois, had a suspended license, and was in possession of suspicious credit cards and money orders.

On March 20, troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Interstate 84 in the town of Southeast for multiple violations of the vehicle and traffic law at 2:10 a.m.
Police said they smelled marijuana when interviewing the driver, Allen. They said they then discovered about 4.2 grams of marijuana and fake driver’s licenses in Allen’s possession. They concluded Allen was operating while impaired by drugs.

Allen fled on foot on Interstate 84, discarding credit cards and personal checks as he went, police said.
Caught a short distance from the Jeep, Allen was placed into custody without further incident, police said.
Allen was arrested and arraigned before the town of Southeast Court and remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
